The Senior Accountant is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in exposure to a full spectrum of accounting responsibilities including but not limited to month-end close and reporting, account analysis, reconciliations, payables, and receivables. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, small team environment, possesses a strong analytical, business, and communication skills, as well as demonstrates efficient organization and time management skills.
Responsibilities
Closing the books at month-end
Maintaining the ProContractor General Ledgers of multiple companies
Supporting the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package for the owners
Preparing balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
Preparing journal entries as needed
Reconciling Bank Accounts monthly and recording cash receipts
Managing Accounts Receivable
Reviewing and inputting invoices into ProContractor and communication with the various vendors
Reviewing internal expense reports and credit card statements
Set up and process year-end 1099 forms
Supporting annual external audits of the financial statements, including any required schedules, and responding to auditor questions/requests
Preparing year-end financial schedules/reports to send to various tax return preparers
Reconciling tax return drafts to the financial statements and understanding the book/tax differences
Assisting with investor relations and reporting including capital calls, distributions, quarterly reporting, and periodic requests
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
1-2 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Must be willing/able to commute to the office
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel skills
A/P & A/R experience strongly preferred
