Opportunity

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer “CEO” is a key partner to the executive leadership team and the Board including the Private Equity-sponsor in the execution of the company’s strategic growth and achieving financial goals. The CEO provides leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations, emphasizing long/short-term goals, growth, profit, return on investment, integration of add-on acquisitions, and sale process. The ideal candidate has participated in a successful sale process for a business involving field staff, tools, and trucks/fleet.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive a thriving company culture while ensuring that organizational outcomes are met
  • Provide key oversight to the COO and CFO and effectively communicate risks and opportunities to the Board of Directors, and PE-sponsor
  • Responsible for post-acquisition integration and assistance with the evaluation of M&A opportunities
  • Oversight of all functional business units including accounting & finance, erosion & sediment control services, vegetative roofing & compliance systems, and bio-retention install, maintenance, & inspection
  • Develop and implement growth strategies and critical strategic initiatives
  • Evaluate performance against budgets and take necessary action to address deviations
  • Provide regular updates and feedback related to the strategic, operational, and programmatic matters impacting the business, keeping the Board apprised of progress and challenges in meeting key goals and milestones
  • Promote communication and cooperation among divisions to create a spirit of unity in the organization
  • Develop and ensure a reasonable and well-planned annual operating budget that is aligned with the strategic goals of the business

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA/Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of executive/C-suite level experience in leading field services with teams across a multistate operation
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing a P&L including margins across divisions
  • Led acquisition integrations and a successful sale process within a PE-sponsored environment
  • Proven history of success in a similar leadership role within a middle market field service or route business
  • Ability to be on-site at the HQ located in Murfreesboro, TN, and travel per business demands
  • Demonstrated experience building highly effective teams
