Founded in 2011 and headquartered near Los Angeles, CA, A&A Global Imports is a leading provider of packaging containers and supplies focusing on the cannabis industry. They are one of the largest market participants, with a full suite of services, including in-house product design capabilities. The company owns numerous patents and has over 200 domestic and international suppliers


Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) will partner with the executive team and the board of directors to rapidly scale the company for continued growth. The VP of HR will be responsible for developing and executing a human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent acquisition, organizational mapping, leadership development, retention, employee relations, employee engagement, post-acquisition integration, compliance, compensation, and benefits. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of being a trusted advisor to senior leadership with confirmed results in impacting business objectives.


Create initiatives aimed at improving employee retention, engagement, and performance 

Manage company-wide employee satisfaction surveys to identify areas of improvement to increase retention

Lead the talent acquisition: recruiting, interviews, hiring, and training new staff

Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee recognition initiatives

Provide guidance and leadership to the human resources team 

Implement and manage the Predictive Index as a tool for screening, interviewing, and team building

Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirement

Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations

Manage cost budgets in real-time and create visibility to the management team and board of directors

Participate in the annual budgeting process for hiring and strategic planning

Serve as a liaison to PE-sponsor to ensure smooth integration of acquisitions into the organization, providing valuable insight on the integration of HR processes and practices, including but not limited to organizational mapping, compensation, and benefits


Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field required; Masters or law degree valued

10+ years of progressive human resource management experience, with a minimum of 4 years managing the HR function

Post-acquisition integration experience

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and city employment laws in the Los Angeles, CA market 


Experience with a PE-backed private company is a plus
