Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Logistics will spearhead the buildout of a new fulfillment/distribution center and manage the day-to-day warehouse operations, supplier relationships, and 3PL functions for this rapidly growing e-commerce company. This individual will implement inventory management systems to facilitate accurate reporting and work with the executive team to identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving productivity while managing to high standards of quality and will embrace an autonomous work environment.


Responsibilities

Lead the buildout and setup of a new warehouse and fulfillment center

Coordinate supplier relationships, including negotiation of improved payment terms, diversification of existing supplier network, and identification of cost-saving initiatives

Recruit and manage warehouse staff as fulfillment and warehouse activity increases

Identify and implement appropriate warehouse management systems

Manage all aspects of inventory, including procurement, costing, storage, and reporting

Establish SOPs to professionalize warehouse and fulfillment operations


Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience managing distribution center/warehouse operations

Demonstrated ability to produce accurate inventory reporting

Experience managing fulfillment KPIs to maximize throughput and optimize warehouse usage

Track record of effective leadership

Experience implementing warehouse management systems preferred

Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
