An established manufacturer and distributor of metal and wood components based in Los Angeles, CA with a second facility in Texas. The company supplies commercial transportation manufacturers and has a strong record of growth and profitability.

Boyne Capital is a Miami, FL-based Private Equity firm that seeks to forge lasting and collaborative relationships with companies whose founders and families are still deeply involved in growing their businesses. Boyne is partnering with the company’s existing leadership team on accelerating growth via organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions.


Opportunity

Reporting to the President, the General Manager (GM) will oversee all daily operations of the Company’s principal operating location consisting of warehousing, inbound and outbound shipments of supply/finished goods, and light manufacturing activities (cutting, roll forming, etc.). The ideal candidate will be someone who leads by example, is a fast learner, and has the appropriate temperament to manage and get along with the rest of the team. Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals, and instill accountability

Responsible for planning, production, sales, and shipping

Maintain a culture focused on safety and compliance

Oversee equipment management and maintenance in connection with the Company’s light manufacturing operations

Foster and build relationships with customers, both to assure that the Company is meeting their current needs and to identify opportunities to expand the Company’s business with those customers


Qualifications

Successful track record in light manufacturing or industrial distribution businesses. Experience coordinating/managing transportation shipping providers is a plus

Demonstrated ability to manage a labor force of 10+ people

Experience managing union employees in the State of California is a plus

Solid knowledge of accounting and financial statements. Past experiences that include P&L responsibility is highly desirable

Solid knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Resource Planning (MRP), and/or Inventory Control systems

Demonstrated ability to successfully recruit, hire, and train personnel as needed for ongoing operations and expansion

Lean or six-sigma training or certification

Experience with a PE-backed private company is a plus


Compensation

Annual base + target bonus
